Monday 16 July 2012 These are all moments from my Monday, always a busy day juggling many balls: school resumes tomorrow and I'm trying not to appear too obvious with my delight :)
The morning starts off with finishing this felted wool chain. I need to make another floor rug some time between now and Wednesday morning for a photo shoot with the lovely Amanda Talbot. Will be an interesting time challenge.
These are the trim colours I have chosen for the rug. I'm trying to match the painting that sits above an old chest of draws from a railway station in our entrance area. You may remember it from the feature of our house in The Design Files.
I find it so hard keeping our house tidy so it's a good thing when I am actually forced to do it. I enjoy having a tidy home but it's such a shame that cleaning is such a thankless and grueling task. And it only stays tidy for a minute! Where's the joy in that?
Know matter how much I desire it to be otherwise, 5pm often rolls around in this household without anything organised for dinner. A quick trip to the grocery store with the little people in tow and I'm thinking pasta. Yum.
I love taking my little people grocery shopping. It's not without its wear and tear but generally, it's the one public outing that I can drag them to without being concerned of having to deal with any major goings on. We had a beautiful "ring in" with us today. I like to call her my "fourth child". We all adore her.
